Des Moines Metro

WE OFFER SAME DAY DELIVERY!

Dumpster King delivers roll-off dumpsters for yard waste, brush, and storm debris across the Des Moines metro and central Iowa. We drop it driveway-safe, you load it as you clear, and we haul it away when the yard is done.

When Curbside Pickup Is Not Enough

Bagged leaves and a few branches are one thing. A tree coming down, a fence line cleared, or a full landscape overhaul is another entirely. Limbs, brush, sod, old landscape timbers, and torn-out shrubs pile up faster than any curbside program can take, and the pile has a way of sitting in the side yard until fall. A roll-off means the whole job leaves at once.

Adnan Isic, Owner of Dumpster King
"After a storm or a big landscaping job, people end up with a pile they cannot do anything with. We bring the container, they fill it, and the yard is back to normal in a weekend."

What Size Dumpster Do You Need for Yard Waste?

Yard debris takes up more room than people expect, since branches and brush do not pack down the way household junk does.

10 Yard: A small yard cleanup or a few shrubs. Holds up to 2 tons.

15 Yard: Brush clearing and a moderate landscaping job. Holds up to 2 tons.

20 Yard: Our most popular size, good for large yard cleanups and tree work. Holds up to 2 tons.

30 Yard: Full landscape overhauls and major storm cleanup. Holds up to 3 tons.

40 Yard: The largest clearing jobs and commercial grounds work. Holds up to 3 tons.

Concrete dumpster: A dedicated 7-yard container for concrete, dirt, sod, and brick. Holds up to 7 tons.

Dirt and sod are the exception worth knowing about. Those are heavy material and go in our dedicated concrete dumpster rather than a standard roll-off, so mention them when you book.

Yard Projects We Help With

Storm cleanup, tree and limb removal, brush and fence line clearing, landscape overhauls, deck and fence demolition, shrub and hedge removal, garden bed rebuilds, and seasonal property cleanups. Iowa weather generates plenty of this work, and our guide to storm debris cleanup covers what to do after a bad night. For the broader spring and summer property pass, see our summer cleanup guide.

Yard Waste and Big Outdoor Items Together

One of the advantages of a roll-off over a brush pile is that you are not limited to organic material. An old deck, a falling-down shed, chain link and wood fencing, a swing set, or a hot tub can all go in the same container as the branches and brush. That makes a roll-off the simplest way to handle a yard that needs both clearing and tearing out at the same time.

Adnan Isic, Owner of Dumpster King
"Half the yard jobs we deliver for turn into two jobs. The limbs come out, then the old deck goes too, and it all fits in the same container."

What Goes in a Yard Waste Dumpster

Branches, limbs, brush, leaves, shrubs, root balls, grass, garden waste, landscape timbers, old fencing, deck lumber, and outdoor structures all go in. Wet paint, oil, chemicals, batteries, tires, and anything flammable are not allowed, and gas cans and old fuel from the shed are the ones to watch for. Dirt, sod, and concrete go in the concrete dumpster rather than a standard container. If you are not sure about something, call and ask before you load it.

How It Works

Call or book online and tell us what you are clearing. We deliver driveway-safe, often the same day or the next when our schedule allows, which matters after a storm when everyone needs one at once. You load it over a seven-day rental, with extensions available if the work takes longer. When the yard is clear, we pick it up and haul it all away.

Why Homeowners and Landscapers Choose Dumpster King

We are a family-owned company based in Ankeny with a second location in Pleasant Hill and more than 200 five-star reviews. We answer the phone, we show up when we said we would, and we place the container where it makes the work easiest rather than wherever is convenient for the truck. See every community we serve on our service area page.
